Isaiah 30:6-11

6The
Or burden of
oracle concerning the bbeasts of the cNegev. Through a land of ddistress and anguish,
From
Lit them
where come lioness and lion, viper and fflying serpent,
They gcarry their riches on the
Lit shoulders
backs of young donkeys
And their treasures on icamels’ humps,
To a people who cannot profit them;
7Even Egypt, whose jhelp is vain and empty.
Therefore, I have called
Lit this one
her

8Now go, nwrite it on a tablet before them
And inscribe it on a scroll,
That it may

serve in the time to come
So the versions; Heb Forever and ever
As a witness forever.
9For this is a qrebellious people, rfalse sons,
Sons who

refuse to tlisten
To the
Or law
instruction of the Lord;
10Who say to the vseers, “You must not see visions”;
And to the prophets, “You must not wprophesy to us what is right,
xSpeak to us
Lit smooth things
pleasant words,
Prophesy illusions.
11Get out of the way, zturn aside from the path,
Lit Cause to cease from our presence the

abLet us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
